Spox: Stopping oil deliveries to North Korea unreasonable
MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- Discussing suspension of oil products deliveries to North Korea is unwise as the turnover is already minimal, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.
“Russia’s president has continuously repeated -- and he did it at a news conference in Beijing as well -- that the volume of trade and economic cooperation and oil and oil products shipment to (North) Korea is small, it is tiny, so the discussion does not seem to be reasonable,” he said.
Peskov also recalled that Putin in Beijing condemned Pyongyang’s provocations, but said he is sure that pushing North Korea into a corner is unreasonable and that dialogue should be established so that the rogue state could feel secure and ways out could be found.
